Solvay Pharmaceuticals Inc., Marietta Georgia,
USA awarded CF Worldwide with at $5,000 educational grant to support
the production costs of the CFW Newsletter and website. This grant
will be used to help cover costs of producing the CFW newsletter
in 2005, allowing CFW to continue to offer the Newsletter at no
costs to patients who cannot afford the subscription fees of the
printed version.
In October 2004 Romedic of the
Netherlands donated 50 refurbished PortaNeb-Sidestream nebulisers,
which will be used in the CF Clinic in Tbilisi, Georgia. This donation
is valued €2000,00.
In September 2007 Romedic donated 100
nebulisers to be used in the CF Centre in Armenia.
ICCO
and Wilde Ganzen recently
awarded euro 40,000 to begin construction on the Georgian National
CF Center. Both are Netherlands inter-church organisations for development
co-funding. ICCO and Wilde Ganzen have a strategic alliance and
both organizations try to provide finances and expertise for projects
and programmes that stimulates people to create a just and safe
living environment for themselves and others. ICCO yearly spends
over € 100 million to support development programmes of local
church based and secular, non-governmental development organizations
in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East
and Central Asia.
Van
Aarle De Laat Health Sector Construction Management Services
donates all the office facilities and administration staff of the European office of CFW. Van
Aarle De Laat also donated the printing costs of the Levy
Lecture, presented by Prof. John Dodge at the European CF congress
at Genoa during the opening ceremony in June 2002. Van Aarle De
Laat will continue to support our admistrative costs for the Netherlands
CFW office through 2004.
Chiron
makers of Tobi, an inhalation
antibiotic for persons with CF. Chiron currently sponsors the
CFW newsletter with yearly donations and is actively seeking to
sponsor future projects in CF communities worldwide. Chiron also
worked with the IPG/CF to bring the Best Care Award to potential
recipients around the world. We look forward to future collaboration
with Chiron as a major contributor to the CFW and our many activities.
Solvay
makers of Creon,
a pancreatic enzyme used by many persons with CF worldwide. Solvay
pharmaceutical has recently awarded the CFW with an unrestricted
educational grant for the development of a Gastroenterology/Nutrition
forum. Solvay has also contributed to the CFW newsletter and offered
support to the CFW in our efforts to put Pancreatic Enzyme on the
WHO essential drug list. Solvay's large contributions have made
it possible for the CFW to carry out our mission of creating a platform
for the exchange of information worldwide.
FCT,
a Dutch public relation consultancy office, familiar with the health-care
sector was very helpful with the development of our communication
plan as discussed in Vienna in June 2001. This contribution allowed
the CFW to continue with our need to concentrate our vision and mission
in the most appropriate areas of the world.

Inc. is our newest corporate sponsor providing travel expenses
for fundraising and administrative costs. We look forward to future
fundraising activities with Micronics Inc.
