THE NETHERLANDS

Lopenvoorlucht was found in 2007 when it's founder Marc Bastiaensen - a CF patients himself - made a walk from his place of birth in The Netherlands to Rome in Italy. With this walk Marc raised about 25.000 euro's which was mainly used to sponsor a CF-workshop in Delhi India for patients and medical staff.

Our mission is to help patients all over the world to help to increase their quality of live. This can either be done by fundraising in order to sponsor the projects of CFW or by carrying out a positive message to the patients, because Marc believes that patients themselves can do a lot to increase their quality of life. Therefore Marc regularly visits conferences en workshops organized by CFW or local organisations to tell the story of his life and to motivate patients and their parents.

We are a small organisation, so out capacity to organise fundraising action is low. So we welcome every help from abroad especialy from other CF-patients who want to organise fundraising actions.
