GREETINGS FROM CFW PRESIDENT, MITCH MESSER

Mitch Messer, CFW President
Mitch Messer, President of Cystic Fibrosis Worldwide

As I write this greeting to you all, I am amazed by how quickly time has passed and how much CF Worldwide has achieved since our inception in 2002.

One of our many successful projects has been the development of a global platform for the exchange of information via our website www.cfww.org. Over 50,000 people every month log on and enjoy the many articles about the latest CF news and developments internationally.

Due to our multiple languages, we are able to bring information to people in isolated parts of the world who would not otherwise have access to information. This multi-language resource has also aided many minority CF populations in countries such as the United States, Australia and Canada where we receive a high volume of users on a regular basis.

Now we are adding online education tools via Podcasts targeting lay, medical and allied health communities.

This month I want to sincerely thank our many translators who have dedicated countless hours to translating articles posted on our website. Many people may not know it but CFW has hundreds of volunteer translators who are dedicated to reaching out to patients, families and medical professionals everywhere. As a CF patient myself, I cannot express what their dedication has meant to me and the hundreds of thousands of people who utilize this amazing resource.

I would like to ask our readers to please visit the CF Worldwide blog where we list our translators and add a comment to thank all of them for their hard work and dedication. Please visit here

Sincerely,

Mitch Messer
