Speakers: Allison Morton (Leeds UK), Louise Lannefors (Sweden) and Dr Harry Heijerman (The Netherlands).

Alison Morton, Clinical Specialist Dietitian
Mrs. Morton has worked at the Regional Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Leeds in the UK for almost fifteen years. This is the second largest Adult CF Unit in the UK caring for approximately 350 patients. She was the Chairperson of the UK Dietitians’ Cystic Fibrosis Interest Group for seven years and is currently on the committee of the European Cystic Fibrosis Nutrition Group. She has been actively involved with both the UK Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the European Cystic Fibrosis Society in producing their Standards of Care documents and Consensus documents including the Nutritional Management of Cystic Fibrosis, the Management of Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes Mellitus, Bone disease in Cystic Fibrosis and Pregnancy in Cystic Fibrosis.

Louise Lannefors, Physiotherapist
Mrs Lannefors is working at the Lund Cystic Fibrosis Centre in Sweden. She is specialized in respiratory care, and involved in clinical research in CF. She has worked with CF patients since 1984 and is involved in international CF work, being chairman of the IPG/CF during six years as it was started and got organized. She does a lot of educational work, both national and international. Also she is member of several European CF and ERS task groups concerning both inhalation therapy and respiratory physiotherapy and is associate editor of the Journal of Cystic Fibrosis.

Harry Heijerman, Pulmonologist
Dr Heijerman is director of the adult CF centre of the Haga Teaching Hospital in The Hague, The Netherlands. This centre takes care of about 260 patients with CF, including 210 adults. Apart from his work as a pulmonary physician he is Chairman of the medical advisory board of the Dutch CF Foundation, Member of the European CF Society, Medical advisor of CF Worldwide, Member of the Scientific Steering Committee of the last 8 European CF Conferences, member of 4 European consensus committees on CF and Founding Editor of the Journal of Cystic Fibrosis. His scientific interests vary from the development of new dry powder inhalation antibiotics to CF related diabetes.
