Cystic Fibrosis Worldwide again supported the specialized CF care team working
at the CF Centre at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). AIIMS is a teaching
hospital and this team is now offering training courses for medical professionals from India as well
as Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. AIIMS is a government funded hospital and through this
connection we can begin to lobby the Indian government to support people with CF by providing
specialized Centre's, to continue to train medical professionals in the treatment of cystic fibrosis
and lobby for "free" pancreatic enzymes for CF patients in India. CFW donated nebulisers and
physiotherapy devices to CF patients in India.
